Amaranth grain 500 g

Amaranth is a very healthy pseudocereal and widely used in cooking. It is one of the oldest crops in America and probably mankind. The nutritional composition of amaranth has deserved it to be considered one of the 36 vegetables with the greatest nutritional potential for humanity, it provides almost twice as much protein as brown rice and exceeds wheat, buckwheat and millet. It has a crunchy texture and a somewhat sweet taste reminiscent of a dried fruit. It is recommended to soak for at least one hour, then remove the surface layer that will form a kind of gelatin and then wash it in plenty of water. Bring water to a boil with salt and add the grain. Let it boil for 10 to 15 minutes. 1 part of cereal for 2 or 3 of water. Let stand 5 minutes. Once boiled, it can be consumed in tabouleh, salads, as a side, etc. It can also be used to make soups, cakes, cookies or breads. May contain traces of nuts and sesame ES-ECO-020-CV
