BT-100U cash drawer trigger provides USB interfacing for cash drawers. It allows the cash drawer, previously connected to a POS printer or cash register, to be directly connected to a computer's USB port. This enables direct connection to the computer when no printer is used in the POS system. The BT-100U USB trigger module uses a virtual serial port driver, making it appear as a standard RS232 serial port to software. This allows existing POS software to communicate with the USB cash drawer trigger as if it were connected to a serial port. Each USB trigger module has a unique serial number, and the driver software assigns the next available serial port to each recognized device, supporting multiple triggers on one computer. The cash drawer connects directly to the computer via BT-100U, powered by the USB bus without the need for external power. Supports hot plugging and plug-and-play connectivity.
