Description

If the vehicle or the wheels/sensors have been stationary for more than 30 minutes, the sensors will go into "sleep mode" to save battery power. It is necessary to wake them up by simply moving them or rolling the tires before they communicate with the vehicle. The TPMS training procedure should be performed on one vehicle at a time, in an area free of radio frequency interference - at at least 3 feet away from other vehicles with TPMS sensors. Vehicles with different front-to-rear tire pressures like F-series trucks and E-series vans also require re-training TPMS after a tire rotation. If the sensors are not trained, the TPMS warning light will illuminate on the dashboard.
