Ground loop video isolator is designed to eliminate interference in CCTV video or o signals caused by ground loop voltage. Ground loop interference occurs due to potential differences between the two ends of a video cable. This interference, often appearing as horizontal stripes, snowflake noise, tearing, shaking, or net-like patterns, originates from the shielding layer of the video cable and equipment housing. Under normal conditions, the shield voltage is 0V; however, ground loop presence causes fluctuations around 0V, potentially distorting the video signal severely. Video signal transmission over distances exceeding 100 meters increases the risk of high ground loop voltage, which may damage equipment. This single-channel video isolator provides isolation for balanced or unbalanced o/video signals and includes an integrated common-mode interference filter to suppress noise picked up along transmission cables. It is suitable for use in surveillance systems, home video setups, computer rooms, recording studios, vehicle rear-view systems, KTVs, bars, and other environments where video/o interference occurs.
